Carol's Fruit Sauce

You will need:

3 cups of fruit (enough to make 2 cups cooked
Any part of 1 1/2 cups of sugar (adjust to taste)
1/2 tsp of butter or margarine
1 tbsp of lemon juice for berries
2 tbsp of lemon juice for apricots
Now mash the fruit

Cook on high in the microwave for about six minutes or until it starts to boil. Then cook for 10-13 minutes longer, stirring every 2-3 minutes. Put cooled sauce into a jar and keep refrigerated. At this point you could add pectin and make jam!! (you would need to add 1/2 cups sugar as stated in the beginning of this recipe.)

This is a great sauce for ice cream, puddings, cheesecake, or made as a quick jam, very very delicious!
